In my design outcome for the cultural festival poster, I aimed to embody the aesthetic look and implied feel of ESP (Extrasensory perception) and the concept of having a sixth sense. By utilising a contemporary look, feel, and design elements and principles, such as movement, contrast, colour, hierarchy, and in-balance, I was able to create a visually striking and impactful poster. The use of a single typeface family in black, white, and grayscale added a sense of sophistication and simplicity to the design, while allowing the typographic form to convey the essence of ESP. Through extensive design research, I developed visual themes that effectively communicated both the expressive and informational aspects of the festival. The strategic use of hierarchy helped enhance the viewer's understanding of the visual messaging, ensuring that the poster effectively captured the attention of the sophisticated and culturally aware audience it was pitched for.
The final outcome successfully merged expressive typography with informative design, resulting in a poster that not only visually represents ESP but also intrigues and engages the viewer.
