Lies Under the Surface

For the assignment we had to propose and design a complex, imaginative and expressive publication based on a selected text. The themes portrayed within the text were to be explored through the use of visual communication methods that overall created an engaging and contemporary outcome.​​​​​​​

Post-truth regime incorporates the idea of blurred lines between true and false, fact and fiction and how it’s obstructing political debates and meaningful discussions. The idea that establishing truth incorporates and involves the use of affective force. “Post truth claims might be false and misleading, even bullshit, but they may also very well be true”. The distinction between truth and false claims, secrecy and lies through the use of revealing and concealing, makes it hard to see what is actually fact, what is certain and what is empty words. Analysis of the logic of secrecy helps us to establish the confidence within ourselves and our culture in order to find out the truth through force and to confront the challenges that post-truth regimes impose on us.
